Pastor Bryon Rush

Pastor Bryon Rush brings a wealth of life experience, unwavering faith, and a servant’s heart to his ministry. After faithfully serving our country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, he retired and transitioned into a successful 16-year career with the railroad. However, God had bigger plans for his life. In 2015, Pastor Bryon answered the call to full-time ministry as a missionary with InFaith, focusing on Bible studies, outreach, and mentorship for the military community in Southeastern Arizona.

With a passion for teaching God’s Word, Pastor Bryon holds a Diploma of Graduate Theology in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. His teaching style is rooted in an expository approach—carefully unpacking Scripture verse by verse, precept upon precept—so that every listener gains a deeper understanding of God’s truth and its application to daily life.

He also served as the Minister of Families and Outreach at First Baptist Church of Benson for three and a half years, where he made a lasting impact through his compassionate leadership and commitment to fostering meaningful relationships within the church and community.

Beyond his ministry, Pastor Bryon is a devoted husband to his wife, Emelda, and a proud father and grandfather. Together, they have four children and fourteen grandchildren who fill their lives with joy and inspiration. Pastor Bryon’s greatest desire is to glorify God by equipping others to grow in their faith, share the gospel, and live out their calling in Christ.

Deborah Harguess Todd

Since 2016, Debbi Todd has been a welcoming presence in our church community, offering a friendly voice on the phone and a warm smile to everyone who steps into the office. As the church and school secretary/treasurer, Debbi plays a vital role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, all while bringing a personal touch to her work.

Debbi’s passion for music is a gift to both the church and school. She sings on stage during worship services, inspiring the congregation with her heartfelt performances, and works tirelessly to support the school’s programs and events, ensuring every performance is memorable. Her creativity extends beyond music—she even designed and taught an engaging Arizona history class, leaving a lasting impact on her students.

Before joining the church team, Debbi enjoyed a diverse and fulfilling career. She spent years working in accounting, farming, and providing compassionate care for the elderly. Now retired from those roles, she channels her energy and talents into serving our church and school community.

Meg Bell

Meet Meg Bell, our fearless Creative Director and professional big-idea generator! With a creative to-do list longer than her arm and a heart even bigger, Meg is the creative spark behind so much of what we do here at First Baptist Church of Willcox. Her passion for God, her husband Sam, and the future family she’s dreaming about keeps her running full steam ahead.

Meg has a knack for seeing God’s perfect timing in everything—whether it’s a project that comes together just right or a random life moment that turns out to be anything but random. She’s convinced that God is in the details (and definitely has a creative streak of His own).

When she’s not busy planning and creating, you’ll find Meg daydreaming about the garden she’ll grow someday—packed with colorful blooms, fresh veggies, and a little bit of chaos. She’s also got big plans to turn her home into a cozy, sourdough-filled haven where everyone feels welcome (and where snacks are always available). Meg is excited to share her journey with our church family and serve in new and fun ways.

Courtney kibler

Meet Courtney!! She leads worship here at  First Baptist Church with a heart full of joy, a love for music, and a deep passion for connecting people to God’s presence. She believes worship is more than music—it’s a powerful way to celebrate the Lord’s greatness and draw closer to Him.

Known for her kindness, compassion, and a knack for creating meaningful worship experiences, Courtney uses her gifts to help others feel the moving power of the Holy Spirit. One of her greatest joys is hearing the congregation’s voices lifted in praise and witnessing God at work during Sunday worship.

Courtney’s love for worship is matched by her desire to see others grow in their faith and experience God’s abundant goodness. Whether she’s leading the church family or sharing a laugh behind the scenes, her passion for ministry shines.

When she’s not on stage, Courtney is most likely walking her dogs (they run the show), spending time with family and friends or hitting the golf course. Quirky, joyful, and always ready to laugh, she’s proof that faith, fun, and music make the perfect harmony!
